Two books essential for those seeking long-term financial freedom that I recommend are Start Late, Finish Rich by David Bach and The 4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferris.
Though each book addresses different concepts and strategies, both serve as guides to greater financial freedom, each giving numerous examples and real life actionable methods to achieve a truly abundant lifestyle without sacrificing your integrity.
So let's begin. Start Late, Finish Rich is a no-fail plan to achieving financial freedom at any age. David Bach says, “Give yourself a break!” We all make mistakes, I know I have, the thing to do is learn and take corrective action. If you have made mistakes acknowledge them and move on. A life worth living is not about money, it's about having the quality of life that you desire and deserve. What money does is buy you freedom. Freedom of time so that you can do what you wish. Mr. Bach goes into great detail to demonstrate how saving just $9 a week will yield you over $8,000 in 10 years!
Most people are looking to increase their income not realizing that in many cases it's more about how much you spend. Becoming aware and tracking your daily expenditures to star with will help you to see how much is actually going out. The more money that goes out the less you have.
Pay Yourself First
Decide that beginning to day you will learn to set aside a certain amount, ideally at least an hour of your normal earnings. Mr. Bach emphasizes that with this money saved you are to use it to invest in a profitable endeavor.
Good things in life don't just happen. You have to make them happen. ~David Bach Click To Tweet
Wealth creation is not created by stashing money away, Wealth is created by using money to create your ideas, such as starting your own home based business or in real estate. You don't have to wait. You can start living now. The purpose of life is to enjoy it.
The 4-Hour Work Week helps to create a plan to maximize your productivity and leave you with more time to do the things that matter most.
In this book Tim Ferris covers EVERYTHING in every which way to make you more efficient. Using some of these strategies is how I have been able to read at least a book a day sometimes as many as 3. He covers topics such as health, fitness, outsourcing menial tasks to assistants, how to free yourself from your own business, and how to travel for next to nothing!
He introduces the DEAL.
D is for definition
E is for elimination
A is for automation
L is for liberation
All elements necessary in order to do more work in less time and spend more time living!
Thoroughly enjoyed both these books even though they are not newly published, the lessons here are highly applicable to modern day living. Both books will dramatically cause you to achieve financial freedom if the strategies are applied.
All the best,
