Most commonly referred to as attraction marketing, Understanding The Art of Seduction in Business is very simple once you acquire a few skills and comprehend how this natural process works.
Sounds crazy but we humans are interesting creatures and we have the incredible talent of complicating the most simple things. One of the biggest reasons for that is we really don’t understand how to market, Not ourselves or our products. In fact, many are not clear on who their target market is so, therefore, struggle needlessly, sometimes for years. Unaware of the mechanics of how and what things to do, they spend a lot of time pushing their products or services on those that are just never going to buy! So let’s break it down.
In business, the number one goal is to exchange something you possess for money. If you are not doing that then you really don’t have a business, you have a dream. To access the money, you must attract the people that are looking for what your product can do for them. Notice I said what your product CAN DO, not just your specific product. People don’t really care about your product. They are not looking for your product. They are looking for what your product can do. They are looking for the results that your product is able to to do for them, how it makes them feel, look. They are looking for the solution to their problem.
Your target market is the people who want to achieve the wonderful experience that your product can help them achieve, those who are already looking for you. Your job is to make yourself visible and help them find you.
Why Would Anyone Buy Your Product?
First, think about the benefits of your product. What does it do? What does it accomplish? How does your product serve people? Become as knowledgeable as possible about your product. Now think who would WANT your product. Again notice I did not see NEEDS your product but rather who would want your product. Say your product helps people find luxurious vacations at super discounted prices nearly anywhere in the world. That is a very specific product that would only be appealing (attractive) to a specific group of people (target market). Not everyone is looking to go on vacation. You must never attempt to convince anyone that need your product nor that they should buy it. You just share the information and let them decide.
Creating Valuable Content
Creating content that is alluring to your potential clients is an art and it becomes downright seductive when all the conditions are right. Content can be anything that is going to help you achieve your goal of attracting potential customers but the more targeted, the more specific you get the more likely you are to get a paying customer. For example going back to our vacation niche, you can create content that is specifically geared to top-level executives in New York vs staying so broad as to anyone, anywhere. The best part is, next week or next month, you could create content geared to Nurses in California.
With the internet today you can easily achieve that. Your content can take any form you wish. Ideally, you should choose the method that you yourself would enjoy. It is something that you will be spending a lot of time on as you learn and implement.
It can be:
- Blog posts on your own website
- Videos on your own social media channel
- Chats on messenger or utilizing any or all of the social media sites
- Email marketing
- Paid Advertising
- Hosting your own events
Choose one method or strategy until you are generating results. If you are not achieving results, do a reassessment and tweak.
Always make your content relevant to your target market. Share what is of interest to them. Help them achieve their goals and desires and you will master the art of seduction in business.
